We took the express train to Rome which took only 1 hour and 20 minutes. It seemed effortless even though traveling over 150 mph. Checked in and then strolled to the Coliseum, Piazza Novona and then to Trevi Fountain, which unfortunately IS STILL under renovations. Then a little vino and some food. Then retraced our steps to see Coliseum lit up at night. Will visit the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel (with reservations) and then St. Peter's Basilica on the 29th. Good times with a fun group.
Unfortunately it was under repair and mostly covered and no water. Almost the same with group last September. Here are pics from a previous trip and hopefully the next time it will look this way.
