About Me

My photo
NOMADIC LIFESTYLE, EARTH, United States
After getting my first passport in 2006 and traveling to climb Kilimanjaro in Tanzania my life changed. I began the process of getting rid of all my possessions and traveling the world. Traveling to over 125 countries and all 7 continents, hostels have been my home. This "new life" has taught me what is important and it was NOT accumulating money or possessions. Traveling is the best education. I hope my blog will encourage others to travel. My World Tattoo was a way for me to express my PASSION FOR TRAVEL.

GUATEMALA, Antigua

July 30, 2014

Antigua's setting is gorgeous, nestled between 3 volcanoes (Volcan Agua, Volcan Acatenango, and Volcan Fuego). The streets are cobblestones and the buildings that line the streets are multicolored. The town of 45,000 has a beautiful Parque Central (Central Park) which is the gathering place for both locals and visitors. The plaza's famous fountain was built in 1738. Across the street from the park is the Catedral de Santiago which was founded in 1542, damaged by earthquakes many times and only partially rebuilt between 1780 and 1820.

WORLD TATTOO, Update

July 28, 2014

I finally got my tattoo updated. Recently visited and colored India, Vietnam, Philippines, Greenland, Iceland and Portugal.

WORLD TATTOO, National Enquirer

While in India in January 2014 I found out from Mel Collier at Natural Mystic Tattoo that The National Enquirer had contacted him about my tattoo because they wanted to do an article. I never spoke to them and was a bit concerned due to their reputation of "stretching the truth". But actually was happy with most of the article and liked how they incorporated pics of me at various world locations and highlighted that country. ABC's Good Morning America, Fox News, Yahoo and now The National Enquirer. Who would have thought anyone would have cared. I also know it has been in many newspapers around the world including China. Had to be a really slow news week. Haha. Jaja

INDONESIA, Cruise to Komodo Island and Komodo Dragons

A highlight of the trip to Indonesia was sailing for 5 days on a boat to Komodo Island. There were about 15 of us all sleeping on mats. We stopped at several islands and swam daily on a beautiful beach. The Komodo Dragons were incredible and they hunt deer and hogs and even attacked two rangers that were inside their office.
