Varadero was the "vacation" part of my trip as there are beautiful beaches and inexpensive ALL INCLUSIVE RESORTS. There was only a 2-6 am time frame when the bar was closed and Russian tourists seemed to take advantage of that. My private room was about $40 a night and included all u can eat buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner + free drinks. Varadero was only 1.5 hours from Havana by bus which was convenient.
