NOMADIC LIFESTYLE, EARTH, United States
After getting my first passport in 2006 and traveling to climb Kilimanjaro in Tanzania my life changed. I began the process of getting rid of all my possessions and traveling the world. Traveling to over 125 countries and all 7 continents, hostels have been my home. This "new life" has taught me what is important and it was NOT accumulating money or possessions. Traveling is the best education. I hope my blog will encourage others to travel. My World Tattoo was a way for me to express my PASSION FOR TRAVEL.

CHINA, Hiking the Great Wall of China, Beijing

August 16, 2018

With limited sleep after long day of flying to Beijing and limited sleep in the hostel that night,  I opted for a 14 hour tour to Jinshanling portion of the Great Wall. It is a 2 hour drive outside Beijing to get to the sparsely visited section. At any time, you see fewer than 5-8 people hiking up and down and up and down. And up. Lol. I hiked separate from the group to cover more territory. The group walked about 4 miles on the wall and I hiked about 1.5 miles more which is the same as I hiked in 2008 when I was in Jinshanling after 2008 Olympics.
