NOMADIC LIFESTYLE, EARTH, United States
After getting my first passport in 2006 and traveling to climb Kilimanjaro in Tanzania my life changed. I began the process of getting rid of all my possessions and traveling the world. Traveling to over 125 countries and all 7 continents, hostels have been my home. This "new life" has taught me what is important and it was NOT accumulating money or possessions. Traveling is the best education. I hope my blog will encourage others to travel. My World Tattoo was a way for me to express my PASSION FOR TRAVEL.

SLOVENIA, Bled Lake

November 2, 2014

Caught local bus to Bled Lake (1.5 hr.) to spend a beautiful sunny day on the #1 tourist site in Slovenia.  I was not disappointed. Since it was Sunday there were a lot of families walking around the lake enjoying the sunshine and beautiful views. Temps still in the 60's. Towering above the Lake is Bled Castle perched high upon the rocks. It took about 2 hours to leisurely walk the lake. Good day.

SLOVENIA, Ljubljana

November 1, 2014

After 1 night in Zagreb, I took the 2.5 hour train to beautiful Ljubljana. There is a castle overlooking the Old Town and river runs right through the downtown area.

CROATIA, Hvar Town

Took the fast ferry ( 1 hour ) from Split to the island of Hvar to visit Hvar Town. It and Dubrovnik are supposedly the sunniest places in Croatia. The tourist season has come and gone. It is almost like a ghost town with only a few locals and the occasional tourist wandering the streets. Everything closes by 8 pm. A local bar had All drinks for only 50 kuna ($8.25). Can not imagine how expensive it is during the tourist season. Lol  nice beautiful and sunny place to recharge my batteries before flying to Zagreb, Croatia on the 31st. Then train to Slovenia and on to Vienna , Austria before flying to Jordan.

Note: Hvar is known for their lavender fields and shops have lavender in all forms.

CROATIA, Hvar Fortress

October 28, 2014

Walked up to the Fortress above Hvar Town, Croatia. The Fortress is about 300 feet above the town and construction started in 1282 but was not completed until the 16th century. The worst damage to the Fortress ocurred on October 1, 1579 when a thunderbolt struck the gunpowder store causing a huge explosion causing major damage to the fortress and parts of town below.
