NOMADIC LIFESTYLE, EARTH, United States
After getting my first passport in 2006 and traveling to climb Kilimanjaro in Tanzania my life changed. I began the process of getting rid of all my possessions and traveling the world. Traveling to over 125 countries and all 7 continents, hostels have been my home. This "new life" has taught me what is important and it was NOT accumulating money or possessions. Traveling is the best education. I hope my blog will encourage others to travel. My World Tattoo was a way for me to express my PASSION FOR TRAVEL.

SRI LANKA, Anuradhapura Ruins

February 28, 2018

The ancient city of Anuradhapura

The ancient city or historic area is in the northwest direction of Anuradhapura and is known by its historical meaning to the country as also to Buddhism.

To enter the old city, you can go by tuk-tuk (later on we will explain about the care you must have) and pay around 1500 rupees between 4 to 5 hours to know all the ruins.

ELEPHANT POND bathed up to 5000 monks

SRI LANKA, Sigiriya

February 26, 2018

Arrived in Sigiriya and checked into my incredible "tree house" private accommodation.

My specific reason to visit here was to climb the Sigiriya Rock ($30) but after local consultation I chose to climb it's brother, Pidurangala ($3) which gives outstanding view of Sigiriya Rock and the countryside.  The hike took about 45 minutes to the top and was very steep. A little surprised to see dogs napping on the warm rocks at the top. GOOD DAY !!

SRI LANKA, Ella

Feb. 22, 2018

My early morning hike to Little Adam's Peak (2 hours) was a little more difficult than expected. Probably because I continued on to another hill that involved some climbing and path along the cliff edge.

Beautiful views of valley and tea plantations as workers were picking tea.

This afternoon I walked to the 9 Arches Railroad Bridge and then 2 miles back along the track to the Ella train station.
