NOMADIC LIFESTYLE, EARTH, United States
After getting my first passport in 2006 and traveling to climb Kilimanjaro in Tanzania my life changed. I began the process of getting rid of all my possessions and traveling the world. Traveling to over 125 countries and all 7 continents, hostels have been my home. This "new life" has taught me what is important and it was NOT accumulating money or possessions. Traveling is the best education. I hope my blog will encourage others to travel. My World Tattoo was a way for me to express my PASSION FOR TRAVEL.

SWEDEN, Archipego Islands

September 5, 2013

Cruising back to Stockholm I got up at 6 am to see the Swedish Archipelgo which is composed of 30,000 islands reaching out for almost 40 miles into the Baltic. Many tiny islands are large enough for only one house.

FINLAND, Helsinki

September 4, 2013

No real plan for Helsinki. Used the map the ship, Anastasia, handed out and located the major tourist sites and started walking. It was nice, not exceptional but nice. Really enjoyed the walking in the 70 degree sunshine. 2 stops on way back, lunch at McDonalds and Subway for dinner. Had to get a little variety which is the spice of life.

RUSSIA, St. Petersburg

September 3, 2013

My long awaited trip to Russia was a little disappointing. I, of course, refused to purchase a tour and relied on getting around myself. Mostly did a good job but could not find a couple of cathedrals. The Hermitage Museum was enormous and had a lot of beautiful sculptures and paintings from the Masters such as Monet, Picasso, and countless others. Unfortunately I am not a big fan but do like Monet. After a couple hours here i started back to where the ships City Tour (provides only transport) was located. Fortunately on way back I found a McDonalds and supper for the boat. Beautiful city, its just I have seen more beautiful. I climbed 262 steps up the Colonade at St. Isaacs Cathedral for a panoramic view of St. Petersburg. Then on to the Hermitage Museum.
