NOMADIC LIFESTYLE, EARTH, United States
After getting my first passport in 2006 and traveling to climb Kilimanjaro in Tanzania my life changed. I began the process of getting rid of all my possessions and traveling the world. Traveling to over 125 countries and all 7 continents, hostels have been my home. This "new life" has taught me what is important and it was NOT accumulating money or possessions. Traveling is the best education. I hope my blog will encourage others to travel. My World Tattoo was a way for me to express my PASSION FOR TRAVEL.

CROATIA, Hvar Fortress

October 28, 2014

Walked up to the Fortress above Hvar Town, Croatia. The Fortress is about 300 feet above the town and construction started in 1282 but was not completed until the 16th century. The worst damage to the Fortress ocurred on October 1, 1579 when a thunderbolt struck the gunpowder store causing a huge explosion causing major damage to the fortress and parts of town below.

CROATIA, Krka National Park

Day trip from Split (2 hrs each way) to visit Krka National Park. Plitvice National Park gets most of the headlines but locals assured me that Krka was just as spectacular. I was very pleased. The boat ride to the falls was beautiful and the entire hike around the falls only took a little over an hour. I elected to walk the 5 km (3 miles) back to enjoy the outdoors a little longer.

BOSNIA, Mostar (visiting famous Stari Most bridge)

October 25, 2014

Up at 4:30 am to get ready and catch the 6 am and 4 hour bus to Mostar. The road was high in the mountains and while I wanted to sleep, could not keep from watching the winding roads with the 1000 foot drops.

CROATIA, Split, (My # 1 Reason for traveling)

October 23, 2014

My favorite reason for traveling is that it makes me feel like a "kid on Christmas morning " EVERY time I visit a new destination and some old ones. That feeling of the unknown and opportunity of adventure overwhelms me and I am always walking around smiling as if I know something that no one else knows. Lol Also, while  visiting "old towns" in Europe I hear Andrea Bocelli singing in my head. Don't know why. Love his music and guess the architecture seems Italian. Lol Only my 3 grandkids, Kade, Madison and Lily have that power to make me feel the same way.
