About Me

NOMADIC LIFESTYLE, EARTH, United States
After getting my first passport in 2006 and traveling to climb Kilimanjaro in Tanzania my life changed. I began the process of getting rid of all my possessions and traveling the world. Traveling to over 125 countries and all 7 continents, hostels have been my home. This "new life" has taught me what is important and it was NOT accumulating money or possessions. Traveling is the best education. I hope my blog will encourage others to travel. My World Tattoo was a way for me to express my PASSION FOR TRAVEL.

ITALY, Verona

 June 8-10th, 2021

Only 3 hours by train from Como got me to Verona, home of Romeo and Juliet lore. Private room for the 1st time this trip but definitely was a budget room with shared bathroom. After checking in I visited the Old Town where the ARENA is the main focus. I paid the 1 euro  fee to go inside. Probably wasted the euro but you never know. Then I went to Juliet's House of Romeo and Juliet lore. Probably wouldn't have gone inside and just took pics of the Balcony but girl at reception said I should. So I did.

Next morning I wandered the streets taking pics and taking in the atmosphere. Will probably splurge on dinner, enjoy some wine and come back early to finish blogging which is tedious. Especially since I have several. one day soon that will stop and I will just fade away into the Sunset. Looking forward to that day. 😀

Pretty town and few tourists with 99.8 % Europeans.

GUATEMALA, Antigua and Lake Atitlan

 February 2 - March 14th, 2021

With so few places where U.S. citizens are allowed to travel, Guatemala was my favorite option. I will spend a few nights in Antigua, Guatemala and then the remainder of my trip in San Pedro la Laguna on beautiful Lake Atitlan.  With "eternal spring" weather Guatemala is great place to visit in cold  U.S. winter.

Last week before flying back to Louisiana was in Antigua enjoying the colonial city and sun from the roof of my hotel.

After 4 weeks on the Lake I took a shuttle to El Paredon black sand beach on the Pacific Coast. Unfortunately I stayed in a dorm at the Driftwood Surf, a party hostel that had 10 recent high school graduates from England also staying there.

STREET ART in San Pedro la Laguna on Lake Atitlan.

MEXICO, ISLA DE MUJERES

July 30 - September 17, 2020

With few options for travel from the US, I decided to spend some time at Isla de Mujeres, Mexico which has no travel restriction, very few  Covid 19 cases and inexpensive accommodations.  The beaches have been closed until September 7th but beach bars give  access to the sand and water. Was just here last November but at least its traveling.
